Biology student Iliana-Vasiliki Ntinou during her BIO299 research practice. Read about it here. Credits: Iliana-Vasiliki NtinouWe had our first focus group interview Friday April 29th at IMR in Bergen. Participants from 6 different host sites gave valuable input to our project. Some of the input was very concrete and will be easy to implement in the course, while other information gave us more background and insight that we can use to develop the modules in this project. All in all this was a successful meeting for the project team, and we think that the hosts also found the discussion useful. Thanks to Kjerstin, Gro, and Gaute for arranging this meeting, to Kristin for facilitating the discussion, and to Jonathan for planning the recording.
The UiB team has our student research technician in place. Susanne Zazzera is a master’s student in the program “Evolution, ecology and biodiversity” at UiB, and a former participant in UiB’s work-practice course, BIO 298. This summer she will start her project about pollinators in heathlands. Susanne started this position just in time to attend the first focus group. We are excited to have you on the team, Susanne!
The UiT team has hired a student research technician as well. More on this person next month.
